For residents
Living in transitional housing
What you can expect from your home, your coaching and your move-on plan.
001 – What to expect
Your home, your coaching, your plan
Your home
Your home will be furnished and ready when you arrive. It may be a room in a shared house or a self-contained flat. Before you move in we will explain your agreement, what you pay and how to reach us.
Your coaching
You will have a named member of staff who checks in with you each month, and more often if you want. They can help with benefits, budgeting, work, training, health and anything else that affects your housing.
Your part
- Pay your rent and any charges on time, and tell us early if you are struggling
- Look after your home and respect your neighbours and housemates
- Keep to your agreement
- Work with us on your move-on plan
Repairs
If something needs fixing, tell us as soon as you can. We will log it, tell you what happens next and keep you updated until it is done. In an emergency such as a gas leak, fire or flood, call the emergency services first.
Moving on
Transitional housing is a step, not a destination. From your first month we will work with you on a plan for a settled home, and help you search, apply and prepare when the time comes.
If something is not right
Tell your named contact or get in touch through our contact page. If you are still unhappy you can make a complaint, and we will tell you how it will be handled and by when.
